ABOUT

Pascual Ovalle (b. 2001; Santiago, Chile) is a chilean contemporary artist based in Santiago, Chile. Despite not having formal art education, he has developed his practice in a self-taught manner, continuously refining his craft. He has expanded his knowledge through local and international workshops, including programs at the University of the Arts London (UAL) and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC).

In his work, Pascual navigates the complexities of identity, exploring the relationship between people, places, and the narratives that bind them. His art reveals hidden dimensions of human existence, capturing moments that invite reflection and discovery.

While currently studying Medicine at Universidad de Chile, Pascual integrates a critical perspective on clinical and healthcare systems into his artistic practice. This dual lens—rooted in both science and storytelling—shapes his work, creating a dialogue between subjectivity, analysis, and emotion.

In 2024, Pascual held his first solo exhibition at Espacio O Gallery (Santiago, Chile) and he participated in the KIAF SEOUL 2024 Art Fair (Seoul, South Korea) with Mark Hachem Gallery.
